Community Guidelines

Effective date: 8 September 2026
These Guidelines are part of your agreement with Softenwise under the Terms of Service. Violations may lead to content removal, match severance, suspension, or permanent ban — without prior notice when safety requires it.

1. Be 18+ and real

• Only adults 18 or older may use Filter.
• Use your own recent photos. Do not impersonate others or invent a false identity.
• Commercial / influencer spam accounts and bots are not welcome.

2. Respect & consent

• No harassment, hate, threats, stalking, or unwanted sexual pressure.
• No non-consensual intimate images, sexual exploitation, or content involving minors (zero tolerance — report and we will act).
• “No” means stop. Gatekeeper and chat are optional; pressure after rejection is a violation.

3. Safe content

• No illegal activity, scams, phishing, or requests for money / crypto / gift cards from matches.
• No graphic violence, extremism, or illegal goods.
• Keep profile and chat content appropriate for a dating product (stores rate Filter 17+ / mature).

4. Fair use of the product

• Do not abuse reports, evade bans with new accounts, or manipulate matching.
• Do not scrape, harvest, or republish other users’ data or photos.
• Do not advertise escort or third-party dating services without Softenwise written approval.

5. Report

Use Report on profiles and in unlocked chat when something feels wrong. Blocking is optional — tick “Also block this user” if you also want to cut match connections. Provide an accurate reason. False or retaliatory mass reporting may itself be sanctioned.

We review reports as capacity allows. We may share limited information with authorities when required by law or imminent harm. Softenwise does not guarantee a specific outcome for every report.

6. Enforcement

Depending on severity and history we may: warn, limit features, sever connections, remove media, suspend, or permanently ban. Severe safety violations may result in immediate permanent ban. Appeals: [email protected] or Support — we are not obliged to reinstate any account.

7. Your responsibility offline

Meetups and conversations outside Filter are at your own risk. Softenwise does not run background checks and is not responsible for user conduct offline. Prefer public places and tell a friend if you meet someone from the app.

8. Updates

We may update these Guidelines to improve safety or meet store/legal requirements. The current version lives at filter-date.com/guidelines.
